La Donna è Mobile

La donna mobile
Qual piuma al vento,
Muta d'accento e di pensiero.
Sempre un amabile,
Leggiadro viso,
In pianto o in riso, menzognero.
La donna mobil
qual piuma al vento,
Muta d'accento e di pensier!
e di pensier! (bis)

sempre misero
Chi a lei s'affida,
Chi le confida mal cauto il cuore!
Pur mai non sentesi
Felice appieno
Chi su quel seno non liba amore!
La donna mobil
qual piuma al vento,
Muta d'accento e di pensier!
e di pensier! (bis)

La Donna è Mobile

Woman is fickle!
She wavers like a feather in the breeze.
She always changes what she says and what she thinks
her face is ever lovely,
ever charming.
But frowning or smiling, She is lying!
Woman is fickle!
She wavers like a feather in the breeze.
She always changes what she says and what she thinks
what she thinks (bis)

if you trust her,
you will be miserable
tell her your secrets
and she will break your heart
yet no man can ever know
complete happiness...
...until he finds love at her breast
She wavers like a feather in the breeze.
She always changes what she says and what she thinks
what she thinks (bis)
